NSCE event 2024 in Egypt

Description: NSCE delivered a public presentation introducing the TRUSTyFOOD Project and sharing key research findings. The presentation focused on the opportunities and challenges of implementing blockchain technology in the agri- food sector, as well as its potential synergies with other emerging technologies. The event provided NSCE with a valuable platform to engage with industry leaders, exchange insights, and strengthen collaborations within the agricultural innovation community. It also enabled participants to gain first-hand knowledge of how blockchain can contribute to transparency, efficiency, and sustainability in agri-food systems.
Target Audience: Government agencies, EU institutions, development partners (USAID, IFAD, GIZ, AOAD, WFP etc., research institutes, agribusinesses, and innovative start-ups.
Outcome/project output: Raised visibility for TRUSTyFOOD as a European research project active in Egypt; established contacts with Egyptian and regional agri-tech start- such as Mahsoly and Cropsa, and Feed the Future projects for future collaboration. Follow-up discussions initiated with institutional partners.
